This card marked the final time Alomar appeared on a card in the Upper Deck base set until 2006. He would still have a base card in a couple of other sets and a few inserts, but this was it for a few years. Not the best way to go out either as this picture is a little unflattering, depicting Sandy with a very awkward swing.
