I showed the 1990 Donruss Rookies card recently. This is the 1989 card from the same year as his actual rookie card. I like this one better than the base set card though because it is actually an interesting picture. As much as I like the Rated Rookie logo, this is just a better-looking card. The green borders also match well with the brown stripes and logo of the Padres uniform. This is one of my favorite cards of Alomar from 1989.
